Class Formats
- Accounting & Audit – Topics related to general accounting, accounting standards and workflow tools.
- General – Topics of broad interest to all levels of an organization.
- Management – Topics of interest to partners, managing directors and senior management.
- Tax – Topics related to tax law, return preparation and research.
- Technology – Topics related to new technologies and application support.
Course Formats
- Lecture – Instructor-led, informational sessions outlining best practices and hot topics for tax and accounting professionals. Users will learn about the new trends in the industry, and learn tips and tricks to make the most out of user’s experiences with Pro System fx® Suite products and the IntelliConnect® research platform.
- Workshop – Hands-on training using a CCH-provided computer. Work through real-life scenarios and perform exercises designed to increase your knowledge of the specific program. Observe demonstrations, real-life applications and participate in question/answer sessions.
- Roundtable – Engaging group discussions (20 participants) focusing on sharing ideas and experiences on specific issues, products and best practices with your peers.
Course Levels
- Basic – Describes the level most beneficial to CPAs new to a skill or attribute. Covers fundamental principles and skills. This level is usually for participants with limited or no exposure to the subject.
- Intermediate – Builds on a basic level program in order to relate fundamental principles and skills to practical situations and extend them to a broader range of applications. This level is for participants with some exposure to the subjects. Such persons are often at the mid-level within the organization, with operational and/or supervisory responsibilities.
- Advanced – Focuses on the development of in-depth knowledge, a variety of skills, or a broader range of applications. This level is for advanced participants with significant exposure to the subjects. Advanced level programs are often appropriate for high-ranking persons within the organization; however, they may also be beneficial for lower-level professionals with specialized knowledge in a subject area.
- Update – Provides a general review of new developments. This level is for participants with a background in the subject area who desire to be kept current.
- Overview – Develops a broad perspective in a subject area. These programs are appropriate for professionals at all organizational levels.
Organization Size
To ensure attendees find CCH User Conference 2010 beneficial, we will offer topics that are of interest to small, medium, and large organizations. Topics will be the same for all groups:
- Small Organizations — 1 – 9 users
- Medium Organizations — 10 – 49 users
- Large Organizations — 50+ users
